Product Description

As much a jacket as it is a heavy shirt, this updated Mackinaw Wool Jac-Shirt provides reliable warmth, weather protection, and breathability. The original Jac-Shirt, introduced nearly 50 years ago, is made of soft and warm wool and can be worn as a heavy shirt or a light jacket. It has earned a strong reputation as the ultimate, versatile garment for sportsmen. In 2016, Filson re-imagined this iconic classic, creating the heaviest jac-shirt yet with superior warmth and protection.

Made with the same wool that has shielded foresters and sportsmen from harsh weather for over a century, the Mackinaw Wool is crafted from the longest and strongest fleece fibres, spun into dense yarns, and woven into a tight weave that withstands the test of time.

Stay warm with Filson's signature Alaskan Guide Flannel lining, a long-time favourite of pilots, hunters, and labourers. Keep your hands toasty in the flannel-lined, angled-hand pockets while maintaining dexterity for binoculars, shells, and tools. The front closure, chest-pocket flaps, and adjustable cuffs all feature reliable snaps that can be easily operated even while wearing gloves. The left chest pocket also includes a utility pocket for storing pens or small tools, while the polyester twill lining in the sleeves allows for comfortable layering.
