RRL belts are made from vegetable-tanned leather with solid metal hardware and traditional finishing. The range covers studded and hand-tooled Western styles, plain tumbled leather belts for everyday wear, and double-wrap designs. The leather is left relatively untreated, so it darkens and softens with use rather than cracking or peeling.

RRL belts are sized in inches and generally correspond to your trouser waist measurement rather than your natural waist. If you sit between two sizes, size up, as the belt should fasten comfortably on the middle hole. Measure an existing belt from the buckle fold to the hole you use most if you are unsure.

A billfold folds in half and holds notes flat alongside card slots, making it the slimmer option for a pocket. An envelope wallet is larger with a fold-over flap, giving more room for notes, cards and receipts. Chain wallets add a leather or metal chain and follow a more workwear-led style.

Keep leather away from prolonged damp and let it dry naturally if it does get wet, rather than using direct heat. A light application of neutral leather conditioner once or twice a year keeps belts and wallets supple. Vegetable-tanned leather is meant to develop a patina, so marks and colour change with age are normal rather than damage.

Wallets, caps and watch cases are straightforward gift choices because they avoid clothing sizing. Belts need a waist size, so check before buying. Most RRL leather goods arrive in branded packaging and are built to last, which makes them suitable for occasions where the piece is meant to be kept.
