Goldwin jackets and shells

The jackets divide by how much weather they are meant to take. The Rip-Stop Hooded Jacket is the one that sells — a light hooded shell that packs down and works most of the year. Above it, the Pertex Shield Air mountaineering pullovers and the Pertex Unlimited 2L jacket are built for hill use, and the GORE-TEX 2L Work Pocket Jacket is the fully waterproof option. The Pertex Quantum Padded Warm Jacket and the Quantum Mid Down Pullover cover insulation. At the lighter end sit the Airly Shell, the Sheer Nylon wind jacket and the Tonalith mesh hooded jacket, which are wind layers rather than rain protection.

Goldwin fleece, pants and shorts

The High Loft Fleece Jacket is the warm mid-layer and one of the better-known pieces in the range. Below that, the One Tuck Tapered Stretch Pants come in three colours and are the closest thing Goldwin makes to an everyday trouser: tapered, stretchy, smart enough for work. Cordura Stretch Ventilating pants and the Trek TC stretch pants go further towards the hill. The nylon and rip-stop shorts are the summer half, cut loose and quick to dry, and the Cordura ventilating shorts take more punishment than the plain nylon.

Goldwin caps, shirts and t-shirts

The caps are light and built for heat: the Utility Jet Mesh cap in black or grey, and the Sheer Nylon cap for something plainer. Shirts run from the Fine Cotton Seersucker and the Cotton Bamboo for summer, through the Karami Woven Hike Shirt, to the Pertex Double Cloth Field Warm Shirt, which is really a light overshirt. The graphic and oversized pocket t-shirts are the plainest part of the range and the cheapest way into the brand.
