The Fjällräven Classic is a trek through nature, where you carry all you need on your back while Fjällräven takes care of all the logistics, from transportation to route planning.
"It's not a competition or a race. It's a chance to socialise with other hikers and enjoy the trek of a lifetime."
Fjällräven's founder, Ake Nordin, came up with the idea at the start of the 21st century, drawing inspiration from Sweden's landscape and scenery. He wanted to give others the opportunity to explore the same landscapes and feel the freedom of spending a few days trekking on the trail. Here is where The Classic was born

As Fjällräven wasn't as established as it is today, the initial focus was to encourage more Swedes to venture into the mountains. Kungsleden (The King's Trail) was chosen for the first Classic with just 152 finishers in 2005. Ten years later, there were 2136 finishers, and the number has increased every year since. Now taking place in eight different locations worldwide, the same founding concept remains. These locations include Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the US, Korea, and Hong Kong.
This Year, Fjällräven Manchester store manager Darren will be taking part in The Classic in Sweden, the original – and longest – Classic, between August 12th and 19th. Over 110km in length, with all his supplies on his back throughout. Experiencing pristine Scandinavian wilderness, encountering the occasional reindeer, and exploring complete freedom. His journey will be documented on The Sporting Lodge, My Fox Bag & Fjällräven Manchester Store Socials. We wish him the best of luck!
