How to use your HyperKewl Evaporative Insert: Begin by soaking the insert in cold water for a maximum of 5 minutes. Once soaked, insert it into your Tilley Hat. The insert is designed with a mesh panel that allows airflow, triggering the evaporative cooling process. Expect the cooling insert to generate temperatures that are approximately 10 to 15 degrees Fahrenheit cooler than the surrounding air temperature, depending on the level of airflow. Although it won't feel like an air-conditioner on your head, it will significantly enhance the natural evaporation process, ensuring your comfort while hiking or exploring. Keep in mind that high levels of humidity may reduce the fabric's ability to effectively evaporate water. Made in Canada
